Max and Millie get new, musical neighbours. Together, they learn to make their own songs such as ‘Boom, bang, rat-a-tat-tat, we’re not going to bed – and that’s that’. But they also go to the beach and play with their friends on the town square.
At Christmas, they put out their shoes, with a drawing and a carrot in them for the donkey. To their great surprise, the shoes are empty the next morning. But the surprise is even greater when they see who has fallen asleep on their sofa.
